SPECIAL NOTE: Advise your customers that with today's ozone layer problems no sunscreen or block replaces proper and safe intermittent exposure and covering. Always use the touch test when sun tanning. When you press your skin with the tip of your finger and a lighter spot is immediately visible, cover up or go into the shade until later in the day when the sun is less intense. Plan to get your tan base over a 4 to 5 day period depending upon your customer's personal experience with tanning. Even overcast days can be dangerous. Today there is no guaranteed sun protection except a proper and safe intermittent sun exposure schedule, especially for sensitive skin and children and between the intense sun hours of 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
